Ailsa has been with Jones Mitchell Family Lawyers since 2009 having first started as part of Bond University’s Family Law Legal Practice Clinic. Ailsa graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Bond University and was admitted as a Solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia the following year, following the completion of her practical legal training. Ailsa has practised exclusively in family law throughout her career and has a particular interest in parenting matters involving ‘risk’ issues and the recovery of children, as well as property matters involving detailed corporate and trust structures.
Throughout her career, Ailsa has authored a number of articles for Bond University, the most recent being for the Bond University Careers Guide. Ailsa enjoys sharing her knowledge and early career experiences with junior practitioners and law students and often mentors those students from Bond University who join Jones Mitchell Family Lawyers as part of their Family Law Legal Practice Clinic. She works closely with Personal Assistant, Sarah Lamperd.
