We get lots of questions from potential and existing clients about what they can expect to encounter as we help them negotiate the path from separation to settlement.
We try to turn as much as we can into helpful articles.
Recently, I asked some of our family lawyers how they would address this topic outside of articles.
Their feedback was that it’s often the case that explaining things verbally to their client, because it’s a much more human way of sharing and absorbing knowledge.
Warwick Jones previously held public seminars across the Gold Coast which were always well attended, but now the technology allows it, we believe the private nature of a webinar is better suited to what is a personal and sensitive topic.
Webinars are a fantastic way for people going through the early stages of separation or divorce because they can see and hear real lawyers demystify divorce from the comfort of their own home without needing to go out in public and risk being seen.
As a result, we’ve put together a series of webinars tackling some of the bigger questions about the process of divorce in Australia and how it relates to parents, assets and even businesses.
The first webinar, “What to expect when you’re getting divorced” will take place Wednesday, 12 December at 7:30pm and we’re accepting questions from the public up until COB on the 11th. It will be presented by the experienced duo of Ailsa Day and Belinda Chitts, both Associate family lawyers here at Jones Mitchell.
If you’d like to attend, you can register at this link: https://jonesmitchell.lpages.co/jml-divorce-signup/.
The series will continue early in 2019, with webinars on parenting arrangements and navigating divorce as a business owner to follow.
We look forward to seeing you there.
